The Airbus A340-200 is a four-engine, long-range passenger aircraft that was first introduced in the 1990s. It was designed for long-haul flights and offered a range of up to 7,400 nautical miles (13,700 km), allowing airlines to connect distant destinations without the need for refueling stops. The aircraft had a spacious cabin and could seat up to 380 passengers, making it well suited for high-density routes. The A340-200 was equipped with state-of-the-art systems, including advanced navigation and communications equipment, and was considered to be one of the most advanced airliners of its time. However, as airlines started to focus more on fuel efficiency, the A340-200 became less popular, and many airlines retired their fleets in favor of more modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.
